About The Authors

Isabel C. González (left) is the editor in chief of Tu Vida/Latin Life, a Latin women's lifestyle magazine. She was Special Projects Editor at Teen People magazine for six years and appeared regularly on TV for the magazine. She has written about trends, travel, fashion and décor for the New York Times, Time magazine and the Washington Post. She has written about Latin culture and tradition for Bride's magazine and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Isabel is a Cuban-American.

Carolina Buia (right) is a former staff reporter for Time magazine, where she covered Latin American politics and lifestyles. She has written on food, travel, and fashion for Conde Nast Traveler, the Washington Post, and The Miami Herald and is a frequent contributor to CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News. In addition to her work as a print journalist, Carolina worked as a national on-air reporter for Telemundo and Celebrity Justice. She studied cooking at ICE and The New School. Carolina was born in Valencia, Venezuela.

Isabel and Carolina have been featured in the New York Times, People magazine, InStyle magazine, Life magazine, People en Español magazine, Latina magazine, Food and Wine magazine and Food and Wine's Annual Cookbook (2007). Isabel and Carolina were honored with Latino Literacy Now's International Latino Book Award, Best Cookbook 2006.
